Che cos'é il MBA in Gestione dei Servizi Funerari?

Il MBA in Gestione dei Servizi Funerari é un Master Europeo formato da 6 moduli, formazione on-line mista con sessioni pratiche ed in aula e che include un gioco virtuale di simulazione commerciale. I sei moduli includono: strategia ed economia nelle aziende di servizi funebri, distribuzione commerciale, marketing e comunicazione; gestione delle risorse umane e gestione delle competenze; caratteristiche specifiche del settore funebre; gioco di simulazione commerciale; e tesi finale. Include un'estesa formazione e tutoria on line cosí come l'utilizzo di   tecnologie della comunicazione innovative, per valorizzare l'esperienza educativa e formativa e contribuisce a formare specialisti nel campo delle onoranze funebri per soddisfare le sfide di un mercato europeo in evoluzione.

Quali sono i vantaggi dell'approccio misto?

FUSEMBA sviluppa un sistema di formazione mista, basato sull'integrazione della mobilitá virtuale e fisica, con il supporto di metodologie di insegnamento che favoriscano l'esperienza formativa. Questo approccio permette a studenti e professori di operare in un contesto virtuale, superando gli ostacoli relativi a tempo e distanza, cosí come in sessioni frontali per aumentare l'efficienza dei processi formativi riguardo le diverse competenze richieste nel settore dei servizi funebri.

Che titolo otterró alla fine dei miei studi?

Gli studenti con un titolo universitario otterranno il titolo di MBA. Gli studenti che non raggiungeranno la sufficienza avranno l'opportunitá di ripetere il lavoro finale e ripresentarlo successivamente per ottenere una valutazione positiva.

Come si struttura il MBA in Gestione dei Servizi Funerari? 

Il MBA in Gestione dei Servizi Funebri consiste in un programma di 18 mesi che comprende 800 ore divise in 6 moduli.

Inizio: Ottobre 2010

Conclusione: Luglio 2012

Come si devono seguire le lezioni on-line?
I moduli on-line ed il gioco di simulazione commerciale sono organizzati per offrire agli studenti una varietá di opportunitá educative, che fanno riferimento a diverse metodologie di apprendimento. Il calendario di lavoro di ogni modulo é annunciato dal professore/tutore in accordo con il piano globale di lavoro. Per massimizzare i benefici dell'apprendimento on-line, gli studenti devono assicurarsi di  poter dedicare un tempo sufficiente ogni settimana per seguire il modulo corrispondente, partecipare alle discussioni e giocare al gioco di simulazione.

Cosa fanno i tutori?

FUSEMBA offre tutori per tutte le attivitá on-line e per il gioco di simulazione commerciale. Il ruolo dei tutori é di dare supporto agli studenti e di massimizzare l'apprendimento durante le attivitá virtuali. Dada la natura internazionale del MBA, i tutori utilizzeranno la lingua inglese.

Le lezioni sono tutte obbligatorie?

É obbligatorio seguire tutte le lezioni, sia on-line che frontali, con un minimo del 75%.

C'é un numero limitato di partecipanti?

Il numero minimo di partecipanti é di 20 studenti, il numero massimo é di 30.

Quali sono I requisiti di ammissione?

Gli studenti che voglioni partecipare nel MBA in Gestione di Onoranze Funebri dovranno avere una buona conoscenza dell'inglese ed una laurea o titolo equivalente o l'esperienza pratica sufficiente nel settore per essere ammessi, Un comité di selezione sceglierá i partecipanti secondo i criteri menzionati in precedenza.

 Quanto costa l'iscrizione al programma FUSEMBA?

La tassa di iscrizione al programma FUSEMBA é di 8000 euro. Sono disponibili borse di studio, quindi si prega di richiedere informazioni in merito.

 Che cosa copre la tassa di iscrizione e cosa non é coperto?

La tassa di iscrizione comprendono tutte le spese generali ed il materiale di studio. I viaggi e l'alloggio non sono inclusi.

Come devo pagare l'iscrizione?

Dopo l'ammissione al programma FUSEMBA, agli studenti saranno notificate le procedure di pagamento (informazioni bancarie e date limite, ecc.).

Di cosa c'é bisogno per seguire I corsi on-line?

Gli studenti partecipanti necessitano di un computer, di una connessione internet affidabile e di un sistema operativo. Al momento, non ci sono ulteriori software richiesti per il lavoro. Il gioco di simulazione commerciale sará presentato agli studenti iscritti e sará fornito un servizio di aiuto per qualsiasi necessitá.

Quali sono le specifiche tecniche minime richieste per seguire il corso? 

É necessario Microsoft Office (per EXCEL, Powerpoint, WORD; Adobe Acrobat Reader ed  una connessione ad Internet ad alta velocitá.

Il programma on-line FUSEMBA é sviluppato con la tecnologia Java (TM) quindi é compatibile con praticamente tutti i sistemi operativi e browser maggiormente utilizzati in Europa.

  • Windows XP o Vista: (Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, FireFox, Mozilla, Opera)
  • Linux: (FireFox, Mozilla, Konqueror)
  • Mac: (Safar)
 
Cosa succede se ho problemi tecnici?

Il personale tecnico di supporto di FUSEMBA é disponibile per risolvere ogni tipo di problema tecnico che possa insorgere.

L'ambiente di apprendimento funziona anche con i sistemi che si basano su MAC e Linus?

Si, funziona. Partendo dal MAC OS 10.4 c'é piena compatibilitá. Nel caso di versioni precedenti, si prega di contattare i tutori per informazioni specifiche.

Dove si alloggerá e qual'é l'organizzazione delle lezioni?

Le settimane di studio "in situ" in ogni paese avranno un minimo di 40 ore di lezione. Da lunedì a venerdì, con la possibilitá del sabato, 8 ore al giorno che comprenderanno: lezioni frontali a cura di specialisti, tutorie, presentazioni, discussioni di gruppo e chiusura dell'evento. Le informazioni relative all'alloggio verranno fornite dall'organizzazzione con largo anticipo per consentire agli studenti una pianificazione del viaggio.

A special offer at the UK face-to-face session was presented by one of the world's foremost experts in cosmetic and restoration of bodies, Dr John Chew of the ESCO Company USA,  lectured at the Funeral Exhibition, Stoneleigh. FUSEMBA participants at his session received a special diploma.


On April 27, FUSEMBA visited the University of Bath, Centre for Death & Society, with the aim of setting the bases for future cooperation. The Director, Professor Glennys Howarth and the Centre's Manager, Caron Staley, are looking forward to the next steps to see how the MBA can link to what their Centre offers. É cominciato il processo di registrazione al Master MBA in Gestione dei Servizi Funerari 2010-2011

Diretto a laureati universitari cosí come a professionisti dei servizi funerari, il Master MBA in Gestione dei Servizi Funerari é un corso europeo di 800 ore che comprende 6 moduli, disegnati per un approccio formativo on-line e frontale, che include un gioco virtuale di simulazione aziendale. I contenuti del corso sono stati sviluppati con la collaborazione del Programma di Formazione Continua dell'Unione Europea Erasmus. I sei moduli includono: Strategia ed economia dell'impresa funeraria; Distribuzione commerciale; Marketing e comunicazione; Risorse umane; Gestione aziendale e capacitá manageriali; Caratteristiche specifiche del settore funerario; Gioco di simulazione aziendale e tesi finale. Diretto a studenti e professionisti in tutto il mondo, il Master MBA comprende formazione on line e tutorie personalizzate. In the interest of knowing more about the personal and professional impact that the EC-sponsored MBA and FUSEMBA project is having, we asked the current crop of students (promotion 2008-2010) to answer a few questions. Below are the first set of responses. Stay tuned for more!

Thank you, Jerome, for taking the time to offer your "story". Our first question is "how is the FuSeMBA experience enhancing your personal and professional experience and/or shaping your career goals"?


What has attracted me in this MBA is the possibility to continue my university courses in a modern way with new technologies and to obtain an internationally recognized diploma (the Master of Business and Administration), recognized by the University of Barcelona, supported by the European Federation of Funeral Services.


Why do you think the FuSeMBA is important for the funeral service sector in your area/country/Europe?


The program is enabling us to learn about the latest European management, marketing and communication techniques so we can apply them to the funeral sector. Today it is important to create a European network of young funeral directors, to open to an international outlook on the funeral business and to exchange views on the specific characteristics and specialities in each participating country.

Nuno, how is this FUSEMBA experience enhancing your personal and professional experience and/or shaping your career goals?


I started this experience with great expectations...This is a new European project.  Of course, it is changing my personal and professional goals, which are right now focused on the transfer of my new knowledge's to my company in order to improve the current work system.


Why do you think the FUSEMBA MBA is important for the funeral service sector in Portugal?


At this moment, I'm starting to have a totally different point of view about the management of a funeral home.  Obviously, this change of mind has opened my eyes to new ideas, and I think is possible to create a standard system in Europe (Funeral Homes and Services).


What specific problems or issues will you be able to address in a better way as a result of taking the FUSEMBA MBA course?


I hope to address in a better way all the themes approached during the course. All aspects are relevant for me, from the Commercial and Marketing side to the Human Resource Management and Management Skills side.


How do you think the people you deal with will benefit from your FUSEMBA education and training experience?


All the knowledge gained will be shared (or at least I will try) with the staff members of my company.


What has been the most exciting/interesting aspect so far about the FUSEMBA MBA programme?


The face to face sessions, because it the only way that we can all get together as a class, as professionals, and also as a group of people that is trying to accomplish the same goal: To know better so we can do better.

Joaquín, why do you think the FUSEMBA MBA is important for the funeral service sector in your area/country/Europe?


I hope and believe that this funeral service MBA will help to standardize this sector, at least at the European level.


How do you think the people you deal with will benefit from your FUSEMBA education and training experience?


I am convinced that thanks to FUSEMBA I will increase my knowledge of the European funeral service sector and become one of the first few fortunate people who are leaders in this scetor in the future.

Fernando, why do you think the FUSEMBA MBA is important for you, personally and professionally ?


Since I found out this MBA I've been very interested in participating because I´ve been working as a manager in this sector for 9 years but have not had the chance to receive specific training in funeral service management. This, then, is my opportunity to certify all my experience and knowledge in this business.


Why do you think the FUSEMBA MBA is important for the funeral service sector in your area/country/Europe?


I think it's very important because the funeral service has always traditionally been run as small, family-operated; but nowadays, in a more dynamic and demanding market, this sector needs well-prepared and qualified professionals with a wider business view about management and quality. This MBA, to me, personally, is key to meeting these needs.


Tell us a little about the MBA classes and your experience so far.


Up to now, the themes in the modules and the face-to-face sessions have been very interesting and useful to our daily tasks, but what I really find very exciting is the fact that I can participate with colleagues from other countries and learn their working methods, about other cultures and about the different way of thinking; that´s a " bonus " in this MBA.
